Another
holiday Boomer Social picnic is set for July 31 over
Colorado Day Weekend. Many city and state employees have
Monday August 1 off.
The picnics are now at Glendale's
Creekside Park along Cherry Creek near the Glendale
Bridge.
Picnics start earlier at 2
p.m.--well ahead of the late afternoon storms.
The price
has been reduced to $10
plus
guests can bring their own beer and wine.
There are two (2) well-maintained,
sand volley ball courts. Large grass areas with big
shade trees surround the pavilion.
Guests can bring beer, wine, and hard liquor to this
park which is a major savings. The new King Soopers
Liquor Store is only 300 yards away.
Classic rock and roll music plus
some country is played for dancing at the pavilion.
Two grills will cook hot dogs.
Chips, cookies, a tropical fruit bowl, soft drinks and
lemonade are included.
Plenty of parking spots are
adjacent to Creekside Park. It is behind the big
office tower at East Virginia and South Cherry.
