Paintball is an updated version of live chess, tag,
hide-and-go-seek, and capture the flag made into a
fun recreational and competitive sport. Players
hunt opponents, take aim, and splatter them with
paint-filled "bullets" in true guerilla style. A
game field is scattered with natural or artificial
terrain, which players use for tactical cover. Rules
for playing paintball vary, but can include capture
the flag, elimination, ammunition limits, defending
or attacking a particular point or area, or
capturing objects of interest hidden in the playing
area.
Your
$20 registration fee includes entry to the fields,
gun, mask, and goggle rental (usually $30). You
will be required to purchase 500 paintballs ($20) to
play when you arrive at the field. 500 paintballs
will last for 1-1/2 to 2 hours of play.
There
are only 20 spots available for this event - 10 men
and 10 women.
