Sharp Images Singles' Dance

Note from Ron: over 100 people were there when I attended. Nice variety of dances, waltz, slow dance, a few fast dances.   Quite a few people in their  60's and 70's.

 

Final Sharp Images Dance - Denver's longest running weekly ballroom venue is closing.  The Sharp Images Sunday evening dance that has been in existence for the past 22 years in closing.  This Sunday May 25 will be the last Sunday evening ballroom dance scheduled under the "Sharp Images" name. 

Debbie Myers is stepping down as the hostess so that she can spend more time with her family.  Debbie as many of you know, has been running the Sharp Images dance for the last seven years.  A number of regular and long term patrons of this dance are in the process of organizing a very special send-off dance for Debbie as a way of expressing our gratitude for her many years of service to the Sharp Images dance community.


There will be special entertainment and door prizes, etc.  This dance is also a "Dessert Potluck."  

This dance, that's been going for 22 years, is coming to an end as we know it.
The Hostess for the past eight years, Debbie Myers, has decided it's time to find some more time to be with her family.

The new Host and my good friend, Bill Bevington, has stepped up to the plate to continue this Sunday night venue. He's got a new name and website for the dance, www.Ballroom-Plus.com, and is introducing some new ideas for his first dance June 1st. 

Bill and his committee are planning a wonderful farewell party , Sunday, May 25, 6-10pm, to say "Thank You" to Debbie for all that she's done for the dance community.

Please come and dance with all your friends. Everyone's gonna be there.
Tell Debbie good bye and encourage her to come out dancing and enjoy herself when she can take a break from the grandkids.  It's a bitter sweet moment for Debbie as she says good bye to so many good dancin' buddies.

Dance to the music of the 50's and beyond.  Ages 40's and up  

Dress: women wear dresses, some very elegant, men wear shirts and dress pants, no jeans, no sneakers.
